Butterfly

Once, a long, long time ago,
when the world was young,
I smiled every morning,
as the birds sung.

I spread my beautiful wings

As the morning sunshine

came through the green leaves.

I could smell the sweet honey from flowers

As the fresh air blew.

This painting is on of my art piece that i have done in IB Art. The theme of the piece was to show the importance of nature.

And I choose this painting because i wanted to show the invironmental issue after watching the movie “Tomorrow”.

In this piece, I used  variety of vivid color to represent the beauty of the nature and the harmony of nature with human.

The mood in the piece is very bright and i expressed this mood in the poem by describing the beautiful scene of butterfly.

And I left the background white to make the figure more stands out. So i can give audiences more impact of my message.

The grandmother, main characater of the story reminds me of yellow a tree sparrow. I thought of yellow color for grandmother because even she is an elder, she acts immature and infantile way. And she is very talkative so yellow color which symbolizes children and brightness fits to grandmother well. The grandmother, an irksome woman who lives with Bailey and his family seems like she is a weak and harmless person. However she actually is causing harm to people around her. During the family’s trip to Florida, she suggests to go to some other old house she remembers. And her idea leads to a car accident and all of her family members to get killed. Even more, she remebers that the house is actually in somewhere else. But the family meet the Misfit there and everyone get killed. Therefore, grandmother is similar to tree sparrow which seems very week and harmless but actually harming farmers by eating rice.

When I first saw you, my heart was running,

and I could not forget your smiling face.

Whenever I have seen your face smiling,

that day became my day on my own pace.

I wanted to tell you words of my heart,

but I could not get the right place and time.

Everyday, I wished to give you my part,

but in front of you, I’m only a mime.

When the time came, I tried to speak my love,

but I found out I was too late to say.

For you now, within the hands of my glove,

I have words of admirations to pay.

Though you are gone and have left me here,

I will wait for your footstep to sound my ear.

Wake up in the morning

Sunshine comes in through the window

Hears the sound of bird

 Walking on the snow

Foot step follows along

When the sun sets

And the moon comes

All i can think of is you

My mom was always there for me every time

Good time or bad.

She tried to give me anything I wanted

For Christmas, she bought me a pretty pair of shoes

For my birthday, she made ma a cute teddy bear,

She has been my good friend

And sometimes has been my teacher

And sometimes, she has been my doctor

She had been right next to me every time

She gave me everything

And me, I only received from her

didn’t give her anything yet..

I had been too childish even I am so grown.

But still, since I am a teenager girl

I am not grown enough to know her mind

And the time I will be realizing her true love

I will have to cry for all the love she gave me

And that will be the time I will have to pay back

I would say brown is the best color to describe the old woman in the story. Red is the color of evil and powerful. However even the old woman from the story is stealing hair from dead body, she is very weak and poor character in the story. She not bringing any harms to people, but she is just trying to get some money. However, still she is stealing, so I would say brown shows her well because brown is darker color of red. Moreover, symbol for her would be mosquito because she is depending on other people to survive but she actually is stealing from others. Just like her, mosquito survives with the human’s blood. So mosquito represents the old woman very well. And the image under is the image of mosquito.

Good and Evil both exists in the world. I think it is impossible to become purely good or purely bad. Since all the human beings have Instinct to be selfish, it is notable for them to be purely good.  The quote by Albert Einstein, it says world is a dangerous place not because of those who do evil but because of those who look on and do nothing. I totally agree with it because all the human beings have instinct to be selfish so they might just ignore the poor people and only care about themselves. However, it doesn’t mean that people who don’t help other people are not evil, it is just they are good and bad for certain extent at same time just like all the people in the world. No one in the world is purely good which means they all have evil side in some extent so there’s nothing we can do about the evil in the world. However, we all still need to try to be good and try to reduce our evil side.

No man ever wetted clay and then left it, as if there would be bricks by chance and fortune. ~Plutarch

 In this quote, Lao Tzu, the father of Taoism is trying to say people should live as simple as possible and always should be humble. He said people should live close to the ground which means people should not go too far from the nature. Moreover, he talks about governing, and said don’t try to control which means people should be working and cooperating all together. Also, people should be able to enjoy what they want to do in their lives. I agree with this quote. I agree that people should not change too much from the nature. It is good to revolve and developing but they should not lose their nature. Thinking in simple way is also good for people. Some said seventy percent of people’s worries are useless. It would help people to make good decision and think positively if people think simple. Additionally, the most import part in this quote is “In governing, don’t try to control.” Being humble is the most important thing that people should be doing in their everyday lives. People always should put other people before them and lower themselves. In this quote, it gives lots of good lessons.
